Talia Al Ghul is the daughter of sometimes anti-hero, sometimes super villain Ra’s Al Ghul. She was created in May 1971 by Dennis O’Neil and Bob Brown, first appearing in the comic series Detective Comics number 411. Her character is a complex one for only being around for about 40 years. Trained in the same ninja martial arts as her father and the other members of the League of Assassins. Led by her father, she was instructed to carry out assassin-type missions to keep the world in balance. As is their dogma, if something gets too corrupt and broken, as they see Gotham City has, the only way to restore order is to wipe the slate clean and start anew. To this end she met Batman, and thus started their love interest. Depending on the story arc, her father Ra’s Al Ghul is responsible for the initial training of a young Bruce Wayne and chooses him as his successor. Bruce refuses the mantle as leader of the League of Assassins and instead follows his own path to save Gotham under the iconic bat symbol. This did not sway Talia who is the on-again off-again romantic interest of Batman, and even births his son, Damian Wayne, who would become the fifth Robin.
Creating your own Talia Al Ghul costume will not be that difficult. We also recommend this character as an excellent couples cosplay option in addition to a Batman costume, or a family including Talia, Batman and Damian.
