Mockingbird, real name Barbara “Bobbi” Morse is a superheroine and popular character in Marvel Comics. She first appeared in the comic series Astonighing Tales number 6, published in 1971. As a character she was created Gerry Conway and Barry Smith, who soon revealed that she was an expertly trained agent of S.H..E.L.D. Her background was in biology, for which she has a Ph.D. Initially only called Bobbi, she developed her alternate identity of Mockingbird in the comic series Marvel Team-Up number 95, published in July 1990. After this she goes on to be part of several Avengers teams and adventures. As a character, she was ranked number 48 on IGN’s list of Top 50 A

In 2012, Mockingbird was listed as #48 on IGN’s “Top 50 Avengers”.[1] She is portrayed by Adrianne Palicki in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series.
