Jubilee is one of the mutant students taken in by Professor Xavier in Marvel’s X-Men Universe. Born with the power to “generate pyrotechnic energy plasmoids from her hands” she is an effective weapon when defending her fellow mutants against the outside world. She often fulfilled the side-kick roll as she was the youngest member of the X-Men fighting team in the early 1990’s. Depicted as a teenage “mall-rat” she is seen on-screen as one of the girls in Rogue’s classes. As a character she is easily recognized from her canary-yellow jacket and often matching accessories. As a comic character she joined Generation X, became a main character in the 1990’s animated series, and starred in her own (although short-lived) comic series in 2004. Written by Robert Kirkman and covers by Casey Jones it was unfortunately cancelled after six issues. She has cameoed in all three original X-Men trilogy movies. Jubilee has been portrayed in the live-action adaptations by Katrina Florence in X-Men and by Kea Wong in X2: X-Men United and X-Men: The Last Stand. It has been revealed that she will return, played by Lana Condor in X-Men: Apocalypse.
