The Green Lantern is a popular DC super-hero because his power is only limited by the expanses of his imagination. The Lantern Core is a group of peacekeepers made up of a select few chosen ones from all of the species that make up the DC universe. They are granted with a ring of extraordinary power which can materialize almost anything that they can imagine, in a quest to fight evil. The most notable human green lanterns are Hal Jordan and John Stewart. During their rise to power within the galactic organization of peace-keepers they are introduced to a fellow lantern named Sinestro. Originally a Green Lantern from the planet Korugar he was introduced as the protector of space sector 1417. He served as one of the most powerful Green Lanterns for years, even becoming a mentor to Hal Jordan. His obsession with keeping his home world protected from outside threats eventually turned his motivations dark, thus poisoning the green light of his lanterns power. He then became a Yellow Lantern, whose power derived not from justice and truth, but jealousy and fear. Becoming one of the main villains of the Green Lantern comics, he started his own group of lanterns called the Sinestro Corps, and waged war on the Green Lantern Galactic force.
Creating your own Sinestro Green Lantern Costume is very straight forward, and allows for easy gender-bender options. The main components of the costume include the green lantern bodysuit and either the make-up kit option or the face-mask option. As Sinestro is an alien, his facial proportions are different than the typical human cranial structure, requiring the use of props. Secondary costume items include the option for different color rings (i.e. yellow versus green).
