Arguably the most iconic character in the long running Mortal Kombat game series, Scorpion is the notorious sometimes alive, most times undead kick-butt ninja. Recurring playable character and sometimes boss his costume is as easily recognized as the Mortal Kombat movie theme song. Debuting in 1992 as a “ninja specter” who is seeking to avenge his death at the hands of (the similarly dressed but different color in a series ‘rainbow ninja’ characters) Sub-zero. His signature move includes throwing a spear attached to a length of rope that impales his opponent allowing him to drag them closer for the final strike. Known for its violence in the gaming community and its history of changing the entire rating systems of video games, the Mortal Kombat series holds nothing back in the graphic nature of Scorpions fatalities. Whenever you hear the iconic “Come Here” shout that is this characters taunt, you know blood and carnage will ensue. Popular enough to be featured as part of the logo of the games producer, NetherRealm Studios, cosplaying this character will gain recognition in almost any fan base.

Assembling a Scorpion Costume will require a few key components, mainly in the signature yellow colored ninja outfit. For those fans of the franchise there are enough small details that can be added to this cosplay to make the popular character your own.
