Sarah Connor is the mother of the famous John Connor in the Terminator movie franchise. The mother of the leader of the human resistance movement in the future where most of humanity has been wiped out by a nuclear holocaust, both her and her sons lives are constantly in danger. The self-aware computer artificial intelligence named Skynet makes multiple attempts at her life, many of which involved time travel. First in The Terminator circa 1984, a T-800 played by the one and only former govenator Arnold Schwarzenegger is sent back in time to kill her prior to John’s conception (ironically leading to his conception). Then in Terminator 2: Judgment Day circa 1991, a T-1000 is sent to kill 10 year old John Connor and a rescued Sarah Connor, opposed by a reprogrammed T-800 bodyguard. Continuing, she is not present in the third part of the trilogy, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines circa 2003, where it is revealed that she passed away if terminal leukemia. Her contribution to the series as a main character makes her almost as iconic as her son. As an actress, the original Sarah Connor played by Linda Hamilton set the bar for women in action roles as she was the first true female to gain defined muscles for a movie performance. The role of Sarah was played by Lena Headey in the short lived TV series. The saga is set to continue with the reveal of the new movie Terminator Genisys that has not come out yet, with the new generation of T-3000 Terminator and the stunning Emilia Clark as the rebooted Sarah Connor.
