Rag Doll, real name Peter Merkel, is a one of a kind villain in the DC Batman Universe. As a character he was created by Gardner Fox in December 1942, as an enemy of Flash in Flash Comics number 36. With the ability of triple-jointedness he is a fearsome sight to behold. Anatomically he has highly flexible ligaments and tendons that allow him to contort his body in inhuman ways. Initially employed by the circus as a contortionist, he was happy with this career until the circus fell on hard economic times. He was laid off and soon found himself on the streets. Seeing large crates of RagDolls being delivered to a neighboring toy store he soon hatched a plan. Using his skills he would dress himself in the rag doll attire and hide in one of the shipping containers. In a time where costume villains were on the rise, Merkel decided that in order to keep his identity a secret he would keep on the rag doll attire throughout the duration of the robbery.
Creating your won Rag Doll costume will be relatively simple. Primary costume items include his red yarn hair, assortment of black and white checkered clothing and yellow and black striped clothing. Secondary costume items include black compression shorts for that variation of his costume and green elf boots.
