You can use this guide to create your own Psylocke costume for your next cosplay event. Elizabeth “Betsy” Braddock also known as Psylocke is a member of the X-Men and first introduced in 1976 comic Captain Britain. Psylocke started of having precognitive powers causing her to see future events before they happened, and her powers evolved into telepathy and telekinesis. Once it was revealed to her that her twin brother was Captain Britain and with her powers rapidly developing she joined S.T.R.I.K.E.’s Psi Division where she became a formidable agent. Later on after she joins the X-Men she is manipulated into becoming the primary assassin of a clan of ninjas known as the Hand. The Hand’s leader Matsu’o Tsurayaba used Spiral to merge Psylocke’s mind and genetics with his brain-dead lover Kwannon. During this time Psylocke inhabiting Kwannon’s body became Lady Mandarin where she was ordered by the Hand to hunt down Wolverine. During her time as Lady Mandarin she gained exceptional martial art skills and the ability to form a “psychic knife” which she added to her arsenal of skills. Psylocke’s former body with Kwannon’s personality returns as Revanche but upon that character’s death Psylocke regains her full personality and full powers.
Creating a Psylocke costume is relatively easy compared to other X-Men since she was a relatively simple costume design
