Margaret aka Peggy Carter is the main period love interest of Steve Rogers before, during and after becoming Captain America. She first appeared in the Marvel comic series Tales of Suspense number 77 published in May 1966. She was usually featured as a supporting character in the Captain American comics during the World War II scenes, flashbacks and story arcs. As the comics would reveal, she is related to Captains modern love interest, Sharon Carter. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, this character has deserved her own spin off for decades. As a character she has been made recently popular with the casting of the beautiful Hayley Atwell. She has played Agent Peggy Carter brilliantly in Captain America: The First Avenger circa 2011, Captain America: Super Soldier a short film, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier circa 2014. The large commercial success of these two films prompted the spin off TV series titled Marvel’s Agent Carter.
