Owen Grady has been introduced as the dinosaur behavioral expert and velociraptor trainer for the Jurassic World theme park. A sequel set 22 years after the incidents on the Isla of Nublar, Sorna and the port of San Diego, the Jurassic World theme park is fully operational on that old familiar Nublar Island. In order to sustain the profit that the park generated upon its opening, the investors push to have new breeds of dinosaurs revealed to “up the wow factor.” He is asked by park director, Claire Dearing to help recapture an escaped genetic hybrid dinosaur. Named the Indominus Rex, it was created to be larger than a T-Rex and it is rumored to be smarter than a raptor. As a character we can assume that he is following in the former footsteps of Dr. alan Grant and Dr. Ian Malcolm combining Sam Neill extensive knowledge of paleontology with the cynical humor of Jeff Goldbloom. Although it has not been directly said, many speculate that Claire could be the love interest of Owen Grady.
