After Dick Grayson turns 18 he sheds his role as Robin and assumes his own identity becoming Nightwing. Nightwing’s range of abilities and equipment is very similar to Batman’s own training and arsenal due to being Bruce Wayne’s apprentice for most of Dick Grayson’s youth. His Nightwing costume includes a skin tight yet protective bodysuit and his trademark weapons are a pair or eskrima sticks which can be snapped together to form a larger bo staff. Nightwing also has his own utility belt along with batarangs, combat boots, a line/grapple guns, stun-gun powered gauntlets and a black mask instead of the Dark Knight’s signature cowl. When putting together your Nightwing costume you also have the option of going with longer hair that ends midway to your back (like in the Bruce Timm animated TV show) or a short haircut seen in most comics. The Nightwing costume is definitely a costume in which you can have artistic liberty with how you go about putting the outfit together.
