Jedi master Kit Fisto was present in both the prequel movies and the Star Wars animated series, the Clone Wars. A male Nautolan, he is an amphibian species that can operate in both dry and water submerged planets. Instrumental during the Clone Wars saga on Mon Calamari, he was the only Jedi present that was as at home in the water as were the native species. As a Jedi he apprenticed two padawans, Bant Eerin and Nahdar Vebb. Appearing in another story arc during the clone wars, when pursuing the Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray, his team was trapped with his former padawan and recent Jedi Knight Nahdar Vebb in the lair of General Grievous. Almost capturing the notorious war criminal, Vebb’s arrogance led to his defeat at the hands of Grievous and his ultimate escape.
His relationship with another Jedi, Aayla Secura at Kamino called his devotion to the Jedi order into question and resulted in his delay in joining the Jedi Council. Eventually appointed to the council because of his brave acts during the Clone Wars, he remained a council member during the final acts of the clone war. His movie appearance consisted of him fighting in and surviving the Battle of Geonosis, along side Jedi Master Mace Windu, and many others.
Kit Fisto was one of the few Jedi who confronted the Sith Lord and died at the hands of Emperor Palpatine in the final prequel movie.
