The Green Lantern is a popular DC super-hero because his power is only limited by the expanses of his imagination. The Lantern Core is a group of peacekeepers made up of a select few chosen ones from all of the species that make up the DC universe. They are granted with a ring of extraordinary power which can materialize almost anything that they can imagine, in a quest to fight evil. The most notable human green lanterns are Hal Jordan and John Stewart. The story of Green Lantern has been around since the 1940’s with the first human lantern being Alan Scott, a small-time crime fighter in New York. Since Hal Jordan took up the mantle in the late 1950’s the franchise has been one of DC’s most successful super-heroes. Since then the character has been featured in TV shows, video games and his own film franchise.
Creating your own Green Lantern Costume is very straight forward, and allows for easy gender-bender options. The main components of the costume include the green lantern bodysuit and the iconic ring. Secondary costume items include the green eye mask that is often seen worn by the Green Lantern Earth protectors, as they need to maintain secrecy as to their true identity.
