Crashing into big screens in the 2014 box office hit Guardians of the Galaxy, Drax the Destroyer is a fan favorite of the younger crowd. Introduced as a man obsessed with avenging the loss of his wife and daughter, killed at the hands of the antagonist Ronan, Drax meets the main character Peter Quill while imprisoned. Helping to break out Rocket, Groot, Gamora and Quill, he becomes part of the team of Guardians adding some humanoid-alien braun. Popular with children, his species does not understand the concept of metaphors, and thus, takes everything super literally.
