Recently revealed that he will be played by none other than the fresh prince, Will Smith, this member of the Suicide Squad will hit the big screen in the next DC movie installment. This casting will continue to make Deadshot a popular cosplay icon. Though there are many variations, creating a Deadshot Costume requires some key iconic accessories.
First appearing in 1950, Floyd Lawton is a recurring villain in the Batman universe. An expert marksmen, Deadshot was named number 43 on IGN’s list of the Top 100 Comic Book Villains of All Time.
Initially introduced as an antihero, he quickly reveals his sinister intentions when trying to replace batman as Gotham’s hero. With a tragic back story of an abusive father, Floyd grew looking up to his brother. When trying to defend himself, he shot at his father with a shot gun, causing a fragment to miss and kill his brother. Starting the psychotic persona of Deadshot, young Floyd would be mo more. Boasting that he never misses a shot, this character was notably portrayed in the most recent Arkham series of Batman games, leading to a final epic confrontation with the Dark Knight himself. Often introduced as a hired gun, Deadshot is soon picked up by the Suicide Squad as an assassin. Known for his lack of remorse in killing as well as his desire for a “spectacular death” this character will continue to be a cosplay favorite.
