Longtime Justice League member and one of the most recognizable DC superheroes, Aquaman is a staple of American comics ever since his creation in 1941. Aquaman is known for his sea life themed abilities which include the ability to breathe underwater, the ability to swim at higher speeds and most importantly the ability for him to call upon sea creatures to do his bidding. His character bio has changed from time to time depending on the continuity but he is almost always depicted as being the King of Atlantis and an Atlantean/Human hybrid by the name of Arthur Curry. In the comics he is frequently shown to be in a relationship with Mera, an amphibious alien from Dimension Aqua (Xebel). Jason Mamoa is set to play the undersea superhero in the DC shared film universe. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll need to put together your own Aquaman costume.
Creating your own Aquaman Costume will be simple, especially if you don’t mind showing a bit of skin. He has two main costume options to choose from. The first and most classic version consists of green skin tight pants and a gold scale pattern tight shirt. The alternate costume includes the same green compression pants and no shirt, just bare skin. In most interpretations he is seen holding a gold trident staff and is a blonde male. Keep in mind that whether you are male or female the leggings below fits most sizes, guys just please wear a cup. No-one needs to see your trident flopping around. Seriously, no-one.
